You might be thinking...

  • I'm not a people person, but I could really use a lakeside retreat

  • I can't really justify the expense and time away

  • What will my family say/do while I'm gone?

Why not you?

We're made for relationship

Our retreat size caps at 10 people so you're sure to find a balance of alone time and meaningful connection with like-minded women. In a world that's hyperconnected via screens but not deeply relationally connected, come see for yourself the benefit of being face to face with others!

Your heart and soul need rest and refreshment

You'll find the investment and time away will justify the short time you spend leaving work, kids, obligations and "life" behind and commit to time for yourself to restore.

Give your family the opportunity!

We get that you're the glue. Thankfully you'll only be gone for a brief weekend, not an extended retreat. We're confident when you return they'll appreciate your rock like status in the family and the ways you provide for them even MORE! Give them the chance to stretch themselves without your presence. You might be surprised!

About your hosts!

Beckie Ajayi

Beckie has been a licensed professional counselor for over 15 years and has had a private practice of her own for over a dozen of those years. She's passionate about helping people live into the best version of themselves. As her private practice has grown and she's taken on an independent contractor to relieve some of the individual client caseload, she's excited to expand into retreats, courses/memberships and coaching to reach even more people than she was previously able. Beckie lives in Arkansas with her husband and 2 children (ages 11 and 8). She's confident you'll be pleasantly surprised at the amazing beauty and nature this corner of the world unexpectedly offers those who are curious enough to come check it out!

Alyssa Golinvaux

Alyssa has spent her life engaging in ways to help others. Her highest hope is for others to live their ideal life. In her roles as massage therapist, registered nurse, certified yoga teacher, and KonMari® consultant, she has worked to guide others towards their goals physically, mentally, and sometimes, even spiritually. She believes in travel to broaden our horizons and in creating connection and community in unexpected places (Arkansas, anyone?). She is currently a “recovering creative” and often seeking more ways to express her creativity. She lives in Colorado with her partner, David, and 2 squishy faced Boston Terriers!

Beckie and Alyssa have a longstanding relationship having participated in entrepreneurial endeavors together and forming a friendship that spans decades with roots that go deep! They're thrilled to be partnering to bring their unique personalities, skills and strengths in a tried and true blend to bring you a once in a lifetime experience.

FAQ's

Answers To Your Questions

These are answers to the most common questions we have received about our retreat....

Question not answered here? Email us at [email protected] if you don't have all your questions answered here and still want more info before signing up!

Is airfare included? When/where should I fly in/out for the retreat?

Airfare is not included. You're welcome to fly in before the retreat starts, but lodging does not begin until Friday afternoon. The nearest airport is Bentonville/Fayetteville (XNA). Tulsa airport and Springfield/Branson airport are both about 2 hours drive away, Kansas City airport is about 2 1/2 hours drive.

Do I have to share a room?

No, prices and options vary for rooms at our retreat location. If you'd like to have one of the rooms slated for double occupancy, you're welcome to reach out to pay both spaces so you can have your own room. Additionally, if you have a roommate you'd like to room with, you'll be able to note that on your purchase and we will pair you in the double occupancy rooms.

How do I get from the airport to retreat?

We will be in contact with all participants to make sure you have all you need to get to the retreat. We may have shuttle opportunities or will make Airbnb/Lyft options as well.

I'm nervous about who else is coming. Will I mesh with others?

We will be facilitating conversation and connection before the retreat so that you have an opportunity to get to know each other a bit before the retreat. There is both opportunity for connection, but also rest and alone time on this retreat so there will be a healthy balance (especially for those introverts out there!!) ;)

What kind of activites will there be?

Right now, our itinerary will include facilitated group discussions, journaling with prompts, yoga, meditation, breath work, time in nature, and one-on-one coaching sessions. All activities are optional, and as we get closer to the retreat date, we will be reaching out to get more clarity on what activities appeal most to the group. Our goal is to curate this experience as much as possible for the specific group of women that choose to join.

What's the food situation?

Let us take care of you! We look forward to nourishing your soul AND your body. We will provide 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 2 dinners, plus some snacks, of course! We are excited to also curate the food choices based on restrictions and preferences, but are planning to serve healthy and delicious meals made by Beckie and Alyssa and will aim for using as many local/seasonal ingredients as possible. This is part of the fun of hosting for a small group- we get to treat you to homemade meals! PS- Don't fret about your caffeine habit-we will make sure to have plenty of coffee or tea based on preferences.

What should I bring?

The "Dogwood" AirBnB that we have rented has direct access to Beaver Lake as well as a hot tub, so definitely bring your swimming suit if that interests you (it may be too cool for lake swimming). We will have towels available. Nights can be cool in Arkansas in the fall, so a sweater or hoodie and raincoat is a good idea to bring. If you want to participate in an outdoor hike/walk, bring appropriate footwear, as well as any sun protection you require. There will be no long or arduous treks :) Beyond that, an open heart and readiness to unplug and be present with yourself and others.

Will there be alcohol?

Our goal for this retreat is a reset for your body, mind and soul. We believe that for a short weekend like this, alcohol is more of a hindrance than a help for fully connecting with yourself and others. We're not banning it, but we're not bringing it ;)

When is retreat start/end?

We formally start Friday afternoon at 3. We will be arranging pre-retreat meet up opportunities for Friday brunch and potentially Thursday night, depending on flight time arrivals of attendees. Attendees will be responsible for pre-retreat accommodations and ground transportation. Retreat closing is Sunday at 11 a.m. Please arrange for flight times after this.
